By accessing or using StartiGeniX, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

• Newsletter subscription email address
• Advertising and partnership inquiry details

• Pages visited, time spent, and interactions within the platform
• IP address and approximate location (country / region)
• Referral source (how you arrived at StartiGeniX)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies

Information from third-party sign-in

If you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google account password.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To operate and improve the tool directory and search functionality
• To process and review tool submissions
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• To send the StartiGeniX newsletter, if you opt in
• To respond to support requests and inquiries
• To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity
• To analyse usage patterns and improve platform performance

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. Cookies we use include:

• Analytics cookies — anonymous usage data to understand which tools and features are popular

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may prevent sign-in and other authenticated features from working.

• Service providers — We use Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting). These providers process your data solely to operate the platform on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or legitimate governmental request.
• Business transfer — If StartiGeniX is acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy protections.
• With your consent — We will share information for any other purpose only with your explicit consent.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Our infrastructure uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security policies in our database, and access controls restricted to authorised personnel.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at divyansh@startigenix.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate operational purposes (such as fraud prevention).

Tool submissions and reviews may remain on the platform in anonymised form after account deletion, as they form part of the public directory.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access the personal data we hold about you
• Right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restrict or object to certain processing activities
• Right to data portability
• Right to withdraw consent at any time

9. Information for Tool Submitters

When you submit a tool to StartiGeniX, we collect the information you provide in the submission form. This may include your name, email address, company name, and details about the tool. We may use this information to:

• Contact you about your submission status
• Request additional materials such as screenshots, demo access, or documentation
• Publish the tool listing on the public directory if approved
• Follow up regarding listing updates or promotional opportunities

Submitter contact details are never published publicly without explicit consent.

10. Children's Privacy

StartiGeniX is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
