Faster-Whisper

Faster-Whisper is a reimplementation of OpenAI's Whisper automatic speech-recognition model using CTranslate2, a fast Transformer inference engine. It is designed to perform transcription more efficiently than the original Whisper implementation and supports different model sizes, quantization and GPU/CPU inference. The project is primarily a developer library, rather than a consumer-facing transcription website. Official Faster-Whisper models on Hugging Face support around 99–100 languages, depending on the model.
