MusicFX

MusicFX is Google's experimental generative-AI music creation tool within Google Labs. It allows users to describe musical ideas using text prompts and generate original instrumental music. Earlier versions generated tracks of up to 70 seconds and supported loops, while MusicFX DJ introduced a more interactive experience in which users can continuously steer generated music by combining prompts describing genres, instruments, moods and other musical characteristics. Google DeepMind states that MusicFX DJ is powered by Lyria RealTime, enabling continuously evolving music rather than simply generating a fixed track. MusicFX also includes sharing/remixing capabilities and Google applies SynthID watermarking to generated music. It is designed primarily as a creative experimentation tool rather than a full professional music-production suite. Country availability: Google Labs says its tools are available only in launched countries, so availability is country-dependent. The initial 2024 expansion reached 110+ countries, but Google Labs' current availability should be checked for the user's specific country.
