Open Interpreter

Open Interpreter is an open-source framework that connects large language models with a computer's local execution environment. Instead of only generating text or code, it can execute Python, JavaScript, shell commands and other supported code, allowing an AI model to work with files, analyze data, manipulate documents, browse through computer resources and automate tasks. It can run locally with supported language models or connect to hosted models such as OpenAI models. The project also introduced a desktop-oriented interface called 01, designed to give AI models broader control over a computer. Because the software can execute commands on the user's machine, users should review generated commands before allowing potentially destructive operations.
