Supabase

Supabase is a Postgres-based backend-as-a-service platform that provides developers with a database, authentication, automatically generated APIs, file storage, realtime functionality and serverless Edge Functions. It has become particularly useful for AI application development through pgvector, vector embeddings, semantic search and AI/ML tooling, allowing developers to store and retrieve AI-generated embeddings alongside application data. Supabase also supports AI-agent development through its APIs and remote MCP server. The platform can be used as a hosted cloud service or self-hosted locally. Its core software is open source, although the hosted Supabase service includes proprietary platform components. Supabase is currently active and supports applications at hobby through enterprise scale. No general country-level restriction was identified; availability of third-party services connected to Supabase may vary by country.
