Zed

Zed is a high-performance, collaborative code editor designed for software development. It includes integrated AI capabilities such as Agentic Editing, coding agents, inline transformations, code completion and support for external AI models. Developers can use Zed's Agent Panel to ask AI agents to inspect and modify code, run commands and work across a project. Zed can connect to models from providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, while also supporting local models through compatible providers. It is particularly focused on speed, low-latency editing and AI-assisted programming rather than being a general-purpose AI chatbot.
